RON OPENED HIS BRANDIT POPMART WITH THE HELP OF UNT ART DEPARTMENT DESIGN FACULTY AND STUDENTS, IN THE UNT ON THE SQUARE GALLERY SPACE.

The second week in March featured a curious store opening and closing in the Downtown Square of Denton, Texas. Returning to his alma mater, the University of North Texas, Ron opened his Brandit Popmart with the help of UNT art department design faculty and students, in the UNT on the Square gallery space.

Saturday’s closing party became a barter market, where people exchanged food and nonperishable donations to a local family shelter for a Brandit Popmart item.

The shelter received its largest ever donation and more than 1000 people walked away with one of Ron’s signature “packaged ideas.” Thanks again to the University of North Texas for welcoming back a prodigal son!
